« I was in Albania when the Albania-Greece match took place, in which we [the Albanian team] won 2-1. I even went to the [football] stadium. I was there, wearing an Albania T-shirt, the shorts, my cap, everything! Like (laughing)…a typical fan. And I also saw the Greeks. What I didn’t like was that we started yelling when they [the Greeks] were singing the national anthem - the Greek anthem. But I sang it because I knew it. My grandfather was also there, and he said to me, "Do you know it?" "Yes, I know it." And I was singing with them [the Greeks]. And the people there were looking at me in a strange way. They were thinking, "What the hell is she doing now?" since they saw me in the Albanian outfit. And we fought with some people there. »

« All that happened because we won! It’s only a game, damn it! Why so much hatred? It’s only a game. What’s the big deal? Greece shouldn’t have made this mistake because, after all, Albania has done so much for Greece. What does Greece think? Isn’t Mirrela Tzellili Albanian? What about Pirros Dimas? Wasn’t he Albanian? Okay now they forget everything and change their names in their documents…Here they have all become Greeks and Northern-Epirots! This hatred shouldn’t exist. We also [have faced] a lot of…racism. We, on the one hand, feel hatred and you, on the other, are very racist against us! This shouldn’t have happened! Especially in a country where we eat, where we speak, where we have friends, where we have godparents. […] Just think that when Greece won against Portugal, oh my god, we all went out on the streets. We felt so much joy! We were supporting Greece because we live here! Yet… »
