Marko

Marko comes from Bulgaria ; he was born in 1984 at Yambo (near Burgas) and came in Greece for the first time in 1999. At the time of the interview his worked as a 'Worker in an insulation company'.

Summary:

The interview was conducted in the university building. Marko came to Greece to live with his father who was already here (his parents are divorced and his father is now married to his second wife). Currently Marko works with his father in the same company. Some of the main issues discussed in the interview concern: his marriage plans and his views on Greek and Albanian women, his great yearning for home and his plans to return, his feelings of great insecurity in Greece, his frequent contacts with his home country through reading Bulgarian newspapers, watching satellite programmes, communicating with friends and relatives and exchanging photos, videos and CDs, his trips back to Bulgaria, his experiences and his relations with people there and their attitude towards him.
