Ifiyenia comes from Albania ; she was born in 1965 at Permet and came in Greece for the first time in 1996. At the time of the interview her worked as a 'Domestic helper'.

Summary:

The interview was conducted at the informant´s home. Ifigenia lives with her two children and her brother. Her husband lives and works in Albania. Some of the main issues discussed in the interview concern: her father´s family, her origins, her arrival and work in Greece, language as an integration factor, her family, schooling and work in Albania, racism, her views on Albanian and Russian migrant women, the communist regime and the transition period, marriage and gender relations, women´s proper age of marriage as a taboo issue in Albania, the practice of matchmaking, sociabilizing, religion, her future plans.
