Atli

Atli comes from Albania ; he was born in 1959 at Tropoja and came in Greece for the first time in 2001. At the time of the interview his worked as a 'Worker'.

Summary:

The interview was conducted at the informant´s home in the neighborhood of Nea Ionia. Atli has studied education and psychology. In Albania he worked as a teacher and lived in the Northern Albanian town of Lushnje. In 2001 he came on foot to Greece. During his first period in Greece he worked at a blacksmith´s and then he was employed in the construction works for the Olympic Games. Atli lives in Greece with his wife. Some of the main issues discussed in his interview are: his contact with relatives in Albania, the television programs during the communist period, issues related to Albanian athletes who compete for Greece, his practice of watching satellite television channels, his work experience, his desire to return to Albania and settle down with his family in Tirana.works for the Olympic Games.
