In 1995 he decided to migrate to Greece for economic reasons, leaving his wife and child behind. During the first period he worked in the fields, but later on he got a job in a marble workshop. At the time of the interview he was not working on a regular basis because of health problems. His son came to Greece and took over his job position in the marble workshop. In relation to his views on gender relations, he believes that a woman should be a virgin when she gets married. He also thinks that his future will be better in Albania, since the situation there has improved greatly. Some of the main issues discussed in the interview concern: his positive assessment of the communist past, his active participation in the Communist Youth Movement, his migration motives, the journey´s difficulties, his views on gender relations and roles, the clash of views with his son who migrated to Greece one year ago, his desire to return to Albania, the legalisation process for migrants.
