Alexia

Alexia comes from Albania ; she was born in 1989 at Tirana and came in Greece for the first time in 1995. At the time of the interview her worked as a 'Student'.

Summary:

The interview was conducted in the university building. Alexia lived in Albania up to the age of five and then she came with her family to Greece. Currently they live in Volos. The issues that come up during the interview concern: the period she lived in Albania and the political situation there - memories which are probably generated from her family´s narratives; the family´s first settlement period in Athens, described more through a tourist´s gaze; the family´s moving to Volos and the shift to more stable living conditions; her everyday life in Volos, her friends, school and entertainment; her ties to her "home country" and to people there and her communication with relatives living in different countries.
