Angeliki comes from Albania ; she was born in 1952 at Korçe and came in Greece for the first time in 2000. At the time of the interview her worked as a 'Cleaner in a TV station'.

Summary:

The interview was conducted in two parts: Some of the basic issues that came up in the first part concerned the decision to migrate, the border crossing and the journey. Next, the informant talks about labor issues, she describes the different jobs she has done here and in her country of origin and her relations with her colleagues and employers in Greece. She goes on talking about her life in Albania, making a comparison to her life in Greece. In particular, she describes her childhood, her years at school, how she met her husband, her marriage, family relations, woman´s honor and gender roles. She also talks about the political situation in Albania, particularly in the period of Hoxha´s rule. Last, she describes her plans for the future. In the second part, the narration concerns her husband´s mugging and murder and her daughter´s relationship with a Greek man. In this final part the narrator describes in detail how sexist and racist attitudes are interrelated.
